Kiln Fired Transfer Print

This process is ideal for those multi colour logos where the colours touch like the example shown and/or they are required on a mug or glass that is not able to be printed as a direct print. This process requires the transfer to be screen printed, carefully hand applied to the mug or glass and is then kiln fired anywhere between 600 and 800 degrees. There are colour and image imitations with this process however in most cases we can work with you to achieve a favourable result.

Images that have shading or photographic images are not achievable in this process.

Where possible attach an image of the logo you want to print, this makes our job much easier when quoting.

Dishwasher safe.

Direct Printing - Non Fired

With direct printing we screen print directly onto mugs and glasses. This process is ideally suited to logos of one colour or that have colours that do not touch like the example shown. We can only direct print on straight sided mugs or glasses with minimal shape (like those in our range) not mugs like the Cone or Flare. We use the handle of the mug or glass to line up each colour we print as each colour is printed one at a time.

So to simplify matters If the mug, say the latte bowl in our café selection or a wine glass has no handle we can only direct print them in one colour or if they have a handle, are conical in shape and the colours do not touch then we can direct print them.

Where possible attach an image of the logo you want to print, this makes our job much easier when quoting.

Direct Printing - Non Fired

Direct Printing - Kiln Fired

This process is the same as the non fired print however it is only suitable for one colour prints. The reason for this is that the colour when printed dries like powder, unlike the non fired colour, so if touched will brush off the mug or glass as it needs to be kiln firing to secure the colour into the glaze of the mug or glass.

Again we can only direct print on straight sided mugs or glasses with minimal shape (like those in our range) not mugs like the Cone or Flare. We use the handle of the mug or glass to line up each colour we print as each colour is printed one at a time.

Digital Printing

Digital Printing on mugs allows for a complete spectrum of colours for logos, images or photographs to be printed and gives a result that cannot be achieved with screen printing. This process is only available on White D Handle mugs (not glassware) as we have a mug that is specific to this process. Ideally suited for smaller quantities – up to 144 – but chat to us first.

We recommend hand washing for these mugs.

4 Colour Process

Again this process is ideal for a complete spectrum of colours for logos, images or photographs to be printed and gives a result that cannot be achieved with screen printing however we can use any white mug in our range. This process is more cost effective for larger numbers. Lead times for this process can be lengthy (maybe up to 8-12 weeks) and some colours can be difficult to achieve but again have a chat to us first.

4 Colour Process

Screen printing is limited to spot colour printing only. This means that if your logo has half tones or drop shadows these must be separated and treated as individual spot colours

For shading (or vignettes to be technical) these can only be done using a dot screen.  These dots are coarse, like the example shown; however in some cases we can achieve a finer dot so talk to us to about how best to achieve this.
